Learning Support Mentor – Service Industries
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 14.5 hours per week (2 days – Monday & Friday)
Contract: Temporary (until end of academic year)
Basis: Term Time Only
We are currently seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Mentor to join the Service Industries department at our Cambridge campus on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting learners to achieve their full potential within a further education setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide in-class and one-to-one support to learners within the Service Industries department
2. Assist students with additional learning needs to access the curriculum effectively
3. Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual support strategies
4. Encourage student engagement, independence, and confidence
5. Support learners in developing key employability and life skills
Requirements:
6. GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
7. Previous experience supporting young people or adults in an educational or support setting is desirable
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
This role is offered on a part-time, term-time only basis, working 2 days per week (Monday and Friday), totalling 14.5 hours.
