Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
You will be responsible for managing engineers, leading projects and providing PPM and OEE support to the company’s Trafford Park manufacturing site.
Our client is an established manufacturer of authentic global foods for the hospitality and retail, food service and wholesale sectors.
This challenging role requires a time‑served/apprentice trained engineer with previous experience in a fast‑paced environment. The site is AA BRC rated; therefore, candidates must have experience working within a highly regulated/audited site.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine planned maintenance and respond to maintenance requests to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues promptly to maintain production flow.
* Conduct breakdown repairs of plant and site service equipment, utilising problem‑solving skills.
* Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste through effective change‑management procedures.
* Support and coach relevant employees in all aspects of shared maintenance.
* Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice.
Profile
* Engineering Apprenticeship (Mechanical or Multi‑skilled) C&G / NVQ Level 3 with demonstrable electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in food manufacturing.
* Problem‑solving and analytical skills to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* High attention to detail to ensure precision in maintenance and repairs, upholding quality standards.
