With a growing installed asset base, they are expanding their Operations & Maintenance division to ensure long-term performance, compliance and service excellence. The Role An experienced O&M Engineer is required to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across: Solar PV systems Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) EV charging infrastructure Monitoring and back-office platforms This role is primarily field-based across Kent and surrounding areas, with some office-based monitoring and reporting responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring system uptime, performance optimisation and high service standards across the company’s renewable asset portfolio. Key Responsibilities Planned & Reactive Maintenance Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnose and rectify faults across Solar PV and associated systems Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs within SLA requirements Replace inverters, optimise system performance and conduct testing Ensure works are completed in line with MCS, NICEIC and internal standards Monitoring & Performance Monitor Solar PV systems via platforms such as Solis, SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius Identify underperformance trends and implement corrective actions Support monthly reporting on system performance and uptime EV Charging & Renewables Support Assist with fault diagnosis and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure Support ASHP system servicing where required Ensure smooth transition from installation to long-term maintenance Compliance & Documentation Complete RAMS, service reports and technical documentation Maintain high levels of safety compliance Support continuous improvement of O&M processes and procedures Essential Requirements O&M Engineers must have: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) – essential 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations – essential Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience working with Solar PV systems – essential Familiarity with string inverters (Solis, SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius) Strong understanding of DC/AC electrical systems, fault finding and repair Full UK driving licence Preferred / Desirable ECS or CSCS card Solar PV or battery storage qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2399) Experience working with battery storage systems NICEIC or MCS exposure Experience using job management systems (simPRO, ServiceM8 or similar) What’s on Offer £40,000 – £50,000 basic salary (DOE) Performance bonus Company vehicle & fuel card (after probation) 25 days annual leave 8 bank holidays Company pension EV salary sacrifice scheme Ongoing training & development Clear progression pathway into senior / supervisory roles On-site parking If this is of interest, please apply via LinkedIn or email george.taylor@everec.co.uk
