Job Overview
This role provides an efficient service for the day‑to‑day maintenance, repair, testing and commissioning of medical and surgical equipment used within all departments of WVT and other recognised health fields as directed by the Manager.
Working with the team and leading and supporting them will be integral to the role. The incumbent must be professionally and technically competent to work autonomously as a Team Leader – Specialist Medical Engineer. Must have experience working with and leading a Medical Engineering team and supporting the departmental transformation to embrace quality at all levels.
Responsibilities include internal training and leading all Engineers and MEL Technicians, prioritising tasks, allocating work, supporting the team when needed and deputising for the manager for all departmental operational and management activities in their absence or when required. Also responsible for PPMs and repair at wards or remote locations, including community hospitals, DN locations, hospices, etc.
