About the role
We are looking for a confident Night Care & Support Team Leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll work full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two‑week rolling rota) during nights only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people we support at Dove Valley Mews.
Dove Valley Mews is a residential service providing outcome‑focused care for adults with a learning disability and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge. We encourage and enable the people we support to lead a full and happy life by giving them choice and control and focusing on their strengths, abilities and preferences so that care is person‑centred and meaningful.
Main responsibilities
* Medication
* Allocation of duties
* Support both management and team members in the day‑to‑day running of the service
* Oversee the staff team and ensure service users are being supported in a way that best supports their needs and wishes
* Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
* Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
* Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
* Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
* Safeguard
* Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
* Support service users to access the community, attend work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
* Support the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
