Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced registered pharmacy technician who can demonstrate strong professional leadership qualities and a strategic vision, and who possesses excellent communication skills. The role will work collaboratively across the pharmacy services offered in Central IHC (Secondary Care, Primary Care and Community Services) to identify new opportunities for Pharmacy that will add value to patient centred care and drive service improvements and efficiencies. As Chief Pharmacy Technician you will be a member of the Pharmacy Senior Management Team within the CIHC and support service improvement projects and development programmes that contribute to the modernisation of our pharmacy services. Through autonomous working, the role will support and deputise for the Pharmacy Hospital Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Pharmacy Service on a day to day basis. Qualifications and/or Knowledge Essential • Experience working at Masters level • Postgraduate diploma level qualification • Current registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. • A substantial level of post qualification experience in a broad range of pharmacy services • Team leader and management experience • Post Graduate Diploma level qualification in Management Studies or equivalent experience • Accredited Checking Technician • Member of the APTUK.
