Client Summary: Our client is a global leader in the Rolling Stock industry, operating within manufacturing, maintenance, servicing, and overhauls.
Job Description: This role will coordinate and administer all production planning activities required for the start-up, execution, and completion of current and potential contracts, in line with customer requirements and production needs. You will prepare regular and exception reports highlighting both real and potential problems. Additionally, you will attend program reviews and other meetings, reporting on the status of contracts for which you are responsible.
Responsibilities include:
1. The creation and improvement of business processes
2. The chasing of production resources (materials, parts, tooling, etc.)
3. Providing solutions to bottleneck production issues
4. Maintenance of the Master Production Schedules and Valid Finite Capacity Plans for current and potential contracts
5. Providing input to daily production meetings
6. Providing information to the Operations team on material and capacity availability
7. Providing management information and KPIs to the management team
Previous experience in this area is required, and strong planning and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity and comfort working in a production environment are necessary. Experience in running stage teams would be an advantage. Candidates must possess excellent IT skills, demonstrate business improvement and development skills, and have strong analytical skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities is crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, and candidates should be comfortable working with diverse teams at all levels. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and adaptable to working independently or as part of a team.
