A leading insurer is looking for a talented corporate lawyer to join its in‑house Legal team on a 9-month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role.
This role is perfect for someone eager to take on broad, hands‑on work across multi‑jurisdictional and strategic initiatives. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders at every level, delivering high‑quality legal support in a fast‑moving, innovative environment.
The role will involve:
* Drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation across the full transaction lifecycle, from early structuring through to completion.
* Collaborating cross‑functionally with finance, compliance, operations and other teams to ensure seamless legal support.
* Supporting project management and governance processes, helping track progress and escalating issues when needed.
* Managing external counsel to ensure advice is commercial, timely and cost‑effective.
* Contributing to legal knowledge management and continuous improvement within the team.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ PQE as a transactional lawyer and be qualified in England & Wales (or Commonwealth equivalent). Insurance or FS experience is a bonus but not a requirement. You must have experience handling complex, cross‑border transactions in private practice or in‑house. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, paired with strong commercial judgment and a proactive, flexible mindset suited to a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
