Band 6 Intensive Care Nurse
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Intensive Care Nurse to join our dynamic critical care team. The post holder will play a key role in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients, demonstrating advanced clinical skills, sound decision-making, and effective leadership. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure safe and compassionate care delivery while supporting the development of junior staff and maintaining high professional standards within the unit.
Key Responsibilities
* Take charge of shifts, ensuring high standards of care for all patients in Critical Care.
* Contribute to service improvement initiatives as a role model in promoting clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
* Act as a professional role model and clinical teacher for nursing staff within Critical Care.
* Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff.
* Collaborate with the critical care leadership team, liaising closely with multidisciplinary staff.
* Support the wider organisation, including managing nursing and material resources in a flexible and cost-effective way.
* Deliver high quality, safe and holistic care to patients with complex nursing and medical needs, and support the spiritual needs of relatives and carers.
