Our Client is an independently owned and operated company that works exclusively with clinical trial materials.The UK site provides secondary packaging, labelling and distribution of clinical trial supplies for sponsor company organisations. Their facility near Reading serves as the packaging and distribution hub for clinical trial materials to Europe and the rest of world.
They are now seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to join their team. This position is a full-time permanent role and will be site based near Reading, Berkshire.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for managing daily receiving, distribution and warehouse activities and assisting with other organizational activities as needed.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Maintains work area and related warehouse areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with EU GMP/GDP.
Picking and staging of materials for processing in Packaging / Labelling Rooms.
Receives all Clinical Trial Materials (CTM) and related materials in accordance with SOPs and EU GMP/GDP
Receives any temperature sensitive CTM, de-activates any enclosed recording devices
Segregates incoming CTM in accordance with EU GMP/GDP
Performs initial inspection of CTM upon delivery
Repalletizes CTM as needed
Alerts Distribution Project Manager (DPM) and QA groups of receipt of CT
Notifies DPM and QA groups of any discrepancies or damage to incoming CTM
Prepares identification tags for all incoming CTM and applies to each container
Enters data into the Inventory Control System (ICS) for all receipts of CTM
Generates item code numbers and prepares receiving documentation
Responsible for picking outgoing shipping orders, packing shipment and handling of pharmaceutical products including labelling of CTM for shipment.
Notifies immediate supervisor. QA and (if appropriate) DPM of any discrepancies related to outgoing shipment and/or status of CTM and inventory levels.
Enter data into ICS system for all outgoing CTM
Enters tariff codes, weight and volume of CTM that is exported to foreign countries in courier computer system
Process shipments according to requirements of the courier operation systems
Assists in processing materials returned from clinical sites for accountability. Pick and prepare CTM for destruction.Verification and destruction of excess labels.
Qualifications and Experience
Educated to GCSE level including English and Maths
Experience working in a warehouse environment and / or industry experience in a GMP / GDP environment (desirable but not essential)
