We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Health Care Support workers for full-time posts within Dan y Bont, providing specialist care for people with learning disabilities. We are part of Swansea Bay University Health Board's Mental Health and Learning Disability Delivery Unit.
The successful candidate will work as part of a seven-day service, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays.

Main Duties
The post holder will work closely with qualified nursing staff to contribute to the care and development of individuals accessing continuing healthcare. Responsibilities include promoting equality, supporting rights, and effective communication.

Job Details and Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Minimum QCF Level 3 in Health or willingness to complete it within an agreed timeframe.
* Evidence of personal development.
* Understanding of the role within the nursing team, the Code of Conduct, and fundamentals of care.
* Knowledge of confidentiality, consent, safeguarding, and escalation procedures.
* Understanding of conditions like dementia, mental illness, and learning disabilities.
* Competence in administering Buccal Midazolam.
Experience
* Significant experience as a Healthcare Assistant.
* Relevant experience in a specialty area.
* Caring, compassionate attitude and effective communication skills.
* Ability to undertake procedures and work effectively within a team.
* Good organizational and escalation skills.
