Job title: Transfer Engineer
Location: Shoreditch, London- On-site role with potential of some remote working after a settling
in period.
Hours: Full-time 9:30am – 6:30pm (due to the nature of the business, additional hours will be requested on occasion)

The Team

The Role:
This role sits within the Transfer Department which is responsible for the storage and archiving of incoming and outgoing assets. This role provides backbone support to a busy team that is in high demand. It focuses on but is not limited to:
* Ensuring the correct music edits, sound effects and voice-overs are supplied and laid back to video;
* Collating and tagging of music files for Soundtree’s record label, and sound effects for database management;
* Assisting composers and producers with setting up recordings, including microphone, patch bay and cue mix setups;
* Ensuring general maintenance and upkeep of musical instruments and audio hardware is delivered, including wiring, soldering and speaker calibrations;
* Session preparation with OMF/AAF imports;
* Printing audio stems where appropriate for clients;
* Pulling together and contributing to music searches, including responding to briefs, editing to picture and sourcing rights information;
* Ensuring correct files such as wavs, movs etc are sent to the appropriate client;
* Liaising with IT support companies to ensure all servers and storage systems are in good working order;
* Horizon scanning to remain up-to-date on software developments in the relevant and related fields;
* General support and upkeep of the production office. Greeting and attending to clients and assisting senior management when required.

It will require the individual rolling their sleeves up to support a dedicated, busy and productive team while developing their own experience and skillset. No two days will be the same, therefore the role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment remains proactive and uses their initiative.

Skillset and Experience:
Soundtree places an emphasis on bringing onboard people with potential, drive and ambition. Aside from that, we are seeking someone with the following skillset and experience:
* Experience with Final Cut and ProTools is essential and crucial for progress to develop in the company as Sound Designer.
* Good working knowledge of the macOS operating system and high level of experience with Audio and Video file formats.
* Software editing skills should include dialogue and sound effects conforming projects to alternate versions and cutdowns.
* Experience in collation of sound files, foley work and similar directed requests such as location recordings or sound effects metadata editing.
* Experience with cloud-based storage and sharing platforms such as WireDrive/Frame is desirable.
* Experience in post-production.
* The ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality when required.
* The ability to develop relationships at all levels.
* Proactive in dealing with complex problems, seeking solutions and suggesting ideas.
* Works well independently or as part of a team.
* A reliable and flexible team player.
