An excellent opportunity has become available to join a growing, fast-paced food trading business that places strong emphasis on team culture, structure and continuous improvement. This role is primarily finance-led, taking ownership of credit control, cashflow and financial performance, while also supporting operational processes across the business. Working closely with the Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take real ownership of the role and play a key part in the ongoing growth of the business. What we need from you: Experience in a finance, credit control or business management role Strong understanding of credit control and debt collection Confident managing cashflow and monitoring aged debt Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and support a small team A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership Desirable but not essential: Experience within a fast-paced, transactional business Exposure to operations, logistics or supply chain Familiar with CRM systems (Monday CRM preferred) Experience using Xero accounting software Experience with automation tools (Make, Zapier etc.) Food or meat industry knowledge What the role involves: Managing credit control processes and improving cash collection Monitoring aged debt and ensuring timely customer payments Supporting cashflow management and supplier payments Overseeing the logistics and order team to ensure smooth delivery and order processing Tracking margins and supporting business performance reporting Overseeing order flow from purchase through to delivery Supporting logistics to ensure deliveries are on time and within budget Maintaining and improving internal systems, including CRM accuracy Identifying and implementing process improvements Managing and supporting the operations and accounts team Resolving issues quickly and maintaining high service levels Salary: £30,000 - £37,500 per year, depending on experience. Hours: Monday to Friday 9am 5pm, 37.5 hours per week. No weekend work.
