The Role
The firm is seeking a Practice Accountant with existing experience within an accounting practice environment. This position is ideal for someone who has built a foundation in practice and is now looking to take the next step in their career.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients
* Preparing VAT returns
* Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts
* Handling client queries and supporting them with general accounting matters
* Working closely with senior accountants to support wider portfolio needs
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this position, you will need:
* Prior experience working within an accounting practice (essential)
* Strong bookkeeping skills and understanding of accounting principles
* Experience with accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage desirable)
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* A proactive, client-focused approach
