Caregiver / Caretaker Role at Ashworth Grange
Ashworth Grange is seeking a Caretaker with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and preferably some IT skills. It is essential to communicate considerately and kindly with residents and co-workers.
The Caretaker's responsibilities include ensuring the residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. You will perform audits, keep records up to date, and carry out maintenance tasks such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness at the forefront.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, know the procedures to report concerns, and seek advice when needed. Attendance at safeguarding training is required, along with ongoing development in related areas.
