The Vacancy
Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity:
We are seeking a Head of Finance Transformation to play a pivotal role within the Finance Transformation Hub, driving forward Aldermore’s ambitious transformation journey. This role will lead the identification, analysis and delivery of efficiency opportunities across Finance and Treasury, streamlining processes, removing duplication and embedding improved ways of working, while supporting the execution of wider structural transformation initiatives.
We are seeking a highly analytical leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and can combine strategic vision with hands-on delivery to achieve meaningful, lasting change.
What will your day look like?
1. Proactively identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities across Finance, beyond major transformation programmes.
2. Analyse processes, systems, data, and controls to diagnose root causes and define both immediate fixes and long-term enhancements.
3. Lead end-to-end delivery of improvement initiatives, embedding sustainable changes that enhance efficiency, control, and transparency.
4. Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand challenges, build strong relationships, and co-create practical, effective solutions.
5. Monitor progress, measure benefits, and manage risks and dependencies, maintaining a disciplined and well-prioritised delivery approach.
6. Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring others, and supporting technical accounting matters including Board-level presentations.
What do we expect from you?
7. Highly effective business partner with strong senior stakeholder management, able to influence, challenge, and advise at all levels.
8. Significant post-qualification experience within a Finance function, including transformation and process improvement across financial systems (e.g. general ledger, budgeting, procurement).
9. Experience within a regulated financial services environment.
10. Strong accounting knowledge, with experience working alongside Internal and External Auditors.
11. Commercially astute and data-driven, with strong analytical capability and a focus on delivering actionable outcomes.
12. Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, develop business plans, and work proactively as a collaborative team player.
What can you expect from us?
13. A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how we work with our customers. Hybrid working model – 3 days a week in the office
14. A growing organisation that means there’s lots of opportunities to progress
15. A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
16. And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a good range of core benefits and bonus potential.
