Job Purpose
To assist in providing support and services to children, young people, and their families in accordance with the aims and objectives of the service.
There may also be a requirement to work independently in the community and/or service setting.

Job Activities
Service Users
Under guidance, work according to a care plan or undertake tasks as directed:
* Assist colleagues in working with children, young people, and families, helping to identify needs and work towards positive outcomes.
* Assist in working with parents/carers to empower them and improve outcomes for their children.
* Potentially cover reception in a busy environment, being the first point of contact for service users.
* Run programmes of activity and group work.
* Collaborate with children's services, health agencies, and community-based services to provide effective support.
* Contribute to service development.
* Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Resources
* Manage equipment and resources used in daily work.
* Contribute to case note recording and reports if required.
People
* No supervisory responsibility for staff or students, but may supervise volunteers.
* Promote health, safety, and security in the workplace.
