We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of our financial transactions.

About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will provide essential financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation. You’ll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, managing payments, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
* Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct approvals and timely payments.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal business units.
* Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to payment‑related queries.
* Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding issues.
* Prepare and process electronic fund transfers (EFTs) and other payment methods.
* Maintain organised electronic records, including filing and archiving invoices and supporting documents.
* Support month‑end closing activities.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations.
* Produce accounts payable reports and summaries for management.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths, or further education in a finance‑related field.
* At least 2 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
* Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Experience with ERP systems (advantageous).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with suppliers and colleagues.
* Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
* A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
* High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
You’ll be based in a modern office environment with standard working hours. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as month‑end or year‑end. You’ll use a range of office equipment including computers, printers, and scanners.
