Postdoctoral Research Associate (Fixed Term)
Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate (Fixed Term) to join the Woolgar lab for fundamental science research in human neuroimaging.
The successful candidate will have experience in human neuroimaging (fMRI and/or MEG) and advanced data analysis (multivariate classification and/or computational modelling), with prior experience in acquisition of fMRI and/or MEG data. They should possess strong coding and analysis skills, including multivariate pattern analysis, and knowledge of flexible cognition, top-down control, selective attention, and frontoparietal cortex.
The post holder will:
* carry out research within the ongoing programme in the Woolgar lab
* share technical, analysis, and conceptual knowledge with other lab members
* contribute to the positive research culture of the Woolgar lab and the wider environment at the University of Cambridge
Interviews are expected to be held mid-December with an anticipated start date of 01 February 2026, or earlier if possible.
Salary and grade information: If not yet awarded a PhD by January/February 2026, appointment will be at University Grade 5 as Research Assistants, starting at £34,610 per annum. Upon PhD award, salary will be upgraded to Grade 7 as Research Associates, starting at £37,694 in the first year; in the second year £38,784; in the third year £39,906.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year from the start date.
