The Opportunity:
Cornell is seeking an ambitious, experienced investment professional to join our client's expanding investment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities in the UK, supporting the firm's mission to drive growth and create value in their portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and source potential investment opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
* Assist in the structuring and negotiation of investment deals.
* Work closely with legal and financial advisors to ensure smooth transaction execution.
* Support portfolio companies in achieving their growth objectives through strategic and operational guidance.
* Assist in the preparation of board materials and participate in board meetings as required.
* Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and potential investment sectors.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CFA) is a plus.
* Minimum 4 years of professional experience, ideally including a track record in private equity and/or venture capital investment, with demonstrated success in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments.
* Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
