Overview
Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership is recruiting Specialist Pharmacist Primary Care (Band 7). Note: This is a full time/part time opportunity (minimum 3 days) Monday – Friday within the Aberdeenshire Marr cluster.
Responsibilities
* Join Pharmacotherapy teams working across Aberdeenshire to support the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service and promote quality, cost-effective prescribing of medicines.
* Support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.
* Work across a wide area with onsite working in GP Practices and/or remote working from an agreed base; bases and area of work discussed at interview. Full driving licence essential.
Qualifications and experience
* Registered pharmacists with good communication, interpersonal and time management skills. Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.
* Community or hospital pharmacy background acceptable.
* Independent Prescriber training would be supported if not already achieved.
Location and arrangements
Post holders will work across Aberdeenshire HSCP locations; options include Inverurie, Ellon or alternate locations as available.
Hours and bases
Full Time/Part Time Opportunities (min 3 days) Monday – Friday; on-site GP practice and/or remote working from an agreed base. Driving licence essential.
