Average 25 hours per week including early mornings, evenings and weekends.


Description

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate, forward-thinking individual to join our operational team as the Lead Training Officer. This is a key role for someone who is confident in their approach, able to constructively challenge and support colleagues, and committed to upholding compliance and best practice across all areas of operation.

You will work closely with staff at all levels, with a particular focus on advising and supporting the operational management team to maintain exceptional standards in pool safety and lifesaving. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our organisation continues to deliver the highest standards of Health & Safety.

We’re looking for an experienced and confident Trainer Assessor and Tutor of lifesaving qualifications, with a minimum of three years’ experience in operational management. You’ll bring both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to the role.

As Training Officer, some of your responsibilities will include:

* Equipping staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to perform their roles safely and effectively.
* Acting as a flexible operational resource to support the needs of the wider team.
* Strategically assessing training needs across the organisation and implementing solutions to grow and retain essential skills.
* Designing and delivering training programmes, or coordinating third-party trainers as needed.
* Delivering training through various formats including face-to-face, online, and blended learning.
* Monitoring, challenging, and ensuring compliance with lifesaving standards and qualification delivery.
* Provide operational support at Assistant Manager level, as required to meet the needs of service which may include covering managers where required.
* Provide Health & Safety support for operational lead Facility Manager and Head of Operations as required.
