We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Management Accountant to join our finance team at Hamberley Care Homes.

What you'll be doing:

Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with month-end financial reporting and accounting tasks.
* Ensuring accurate recording of revenue and cost of sales, posting month-end journals, and preparing monthly accounts for review.
* Training new finance team members, reviewing draft reports and Accounts Payable submissions, managing payments, and ensuring adequate funding.
* Analyzing financial performance and providing insightful commentary.
* Preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
* Overseeing monthly Direct Debit collections and supporting billing, credit control, and resident refunds.
* Reconciliation of VAT accounts across entities.
* Supporting care homes with finance duties and collaborating with administration when needed.
* Managing balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, and resolving discrepancies.
Could you be part of our team?
About You:
* Qualified or part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
* Proven experience in a similar role, including management accounting and financial reporting, or a strong candidate transitioning from practice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in financial systems such as Xero or similar software.
* Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
* Innovative mindset with a desire to improve processes and controls.
* High accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
* Strong understanding of financial principles and analytical skills.
