Futures Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing business to appoint a proactive and experienced Production Manager. This is a key role within the production team, responsible for leading daily operations, supervising a small team of operatives and team leaders, and driving performance through continuous improvement and lean practises. Production Manager / Production / Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Key Responsibilities: Ensure products meet required quality standards through inspections, audits, and timely corrective actions. Collaborate with the Production Manager and HR to develop and implement leadership and development programmes to support individual and team growth. Lead, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Create and maintain succession plans to ensure long-term team and business sustainability. Allocate work orders and oversee daily workflows to meet production schedules and deadlines. Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements through lean manufacturing strategies. Enforce a safe working environment in line with company policies and health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of production output, quality checks, attendance, and operational performance. Regularly report on performance metrics, quality issues, improvement initiatives, and operational risks. Work cross-functionally with departments such as Engineering, Planning, and Quality to align on production goals and resolve issues. Production Manager / Production / Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Qualifications: Proven experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.
