Position: Religious Education Teacher
Location: Ormskirk
Contract: Full-time
Rate of Pay: From £165 per day (Dependant on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a dedicated Humanities department. The successful candidate will inspire students across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that explore world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical questions.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering high-quality RE lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Inspiring students through creative teaching methods and real-world connections
* Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
* Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and open-minded discussion
* Contributing to departmental development and whole-school initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Enhance DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Strong subject knowledge in RE, Philosophy, or related fields
* Passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting young people
* Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
* A team player who is willing to contribute to school life
