Eville and Jones is the sole provider of Official Controls to the Food Standards Agency. We also provide an ever-growing array of services to both the public and private sector including Export Certification, portal inspection, training, and consultancy.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit Plant Inspection Assistants (PIAs) to work in poultry slaughterhouses/processing plants in the Cullompton area. The PIA role is an important one. Our PIAs are responsible for making sure that meat is produced safely and in accordance with the relevant law.
We are looking for a PIA to cover shifts over the below:
AM Shift - 05:00 - 15:15, 4 days a week between Monday - Saturday
or
PM Shift - 15:15 - 00:00, Monday - Friday
A typical day might see you:
* Carrying out post-mortem inspections
* Verifying that meat and offal rejected as unfit is removed, stored, and disposed of safely and properly
* Maintaining accurate records of post-mortem inspections and findings
* Collecting and inputting data
* This role will see you become a valued member of our team and you will be responsible for helping maintain the highest level of food standards and safety

Mandatory requirement: You must have the Right to Work in the UK as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Pay: £12.77-£14.02 per hour
