Business Central Specialist - Manufacturing Sector Location: Co. Down Salary: £35-45k (depending on experience) Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs per week (core hours 10am-4pm, flexible working available) About the Company Our client is a leading food manufacturer operating from one of Northern Ireland's most advanced production facilities. They are a fast-growing, innovative business committed to quality, efficiency, and sustainability. They are now seeking an experienced Business Central Specialist to join their IT & Business Systems team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of ERP configuration and optimisation, ensuring smoother processes across procurement, production, finance, and compliance. The Role As Business Central Specialist, you will: Lead and support Business Central configuration and enhancements across finance, purchasing, inventory, production, and quality control. Streamline Accounts Payable automation using Continia Document Capture or similar tools. Maintain and improve integration's with warehouse, quality, and compliance systems. Configure manufacturing-specific ERP features such as batch tracking, lot management, and shelf-life control. Deliver user training, documentation, and change management for new processes. Troubleshoot and resolve user/system issues while ensuring system performance, data integrity, and routine updates. Support finance operations including AP/AR, general ledger, and cost accounting. What We're Looking For Essential: 3+ year's hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of food manufacturing work flows (production orders, inventory management, quality control, compliance e.g. BRC/HACCP). Proven experience with Continia Document Capture or similar AP automation tools. Knowledge of finance processes (AP, purchase ledger, reconciliation). Experience with batch traceability, lot tracking, expiry/shelf-life functionality. Ability to customise and configure Business Central. Desirable: Experience with EDI, warehouse scanning, or shop-floor data capture tools. Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards. Familiarity with SQL Server, APIs, and integration strategies.
