Join Our Team as an HSEQ Advisor!
Are you ready to make a difference in health, safety, environment, and quality? As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be an integral part of our central HSEQ Team, focusing on one of our regional contracts and reporting directly to the Senior HSEQ Advisor. Your role will be pivotal in promoting compliance and ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Your Mission
In this role, you will:
* Champion Safety: Ensure that safety and compliance standards are upheld, addressing any issues promptly.
* Conduct Inspections: Complete verification inspections and follow up on the closure of findings and non-conformances.
* Investigate Incidents: Support accident and incident investigations, promoting quality reporting and resolution.
* Encourage Reporting: Foster a culture of reporting unsafe acts and conditions, as well as positive interventions.
* Track Progress: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on achievements and identified issues.
* Drive Corrective Actions: Communicate effectively to ensure timely closure of corrective actions raised by the Compliance Department and external auditors.
* Compile Statistics: Gather Accident/Incident statistics for your contracts and participate in client meetings.
* Collaborate: Work closely with the operational team to strengthen relationships and enhance processes.
* Promote Safe Behaviors: Advocate for correct and safe behaviors both on-site and in the office.
* Support Training: Assist in meeting training and competency requirements to achieve the highest standards of compliance.
* Assist with Accreditations: Support the Quality Assurance Lead with standards such as ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001, and more.
* Contribute to Strategy: Help deliver the milestone and strategy plan for your contract.
* Grow with Us: Be open to learning more about our products and services as you evolve within the business.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Essential: H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent).
* Desirable: EUSR Water Hygiene and EUSR Shea Water certifications.
* Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
* Experience: Background in the Utilities or Construction sectors is a plus.
* License: A full UK Driving License.
