JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a technically capable and forward-thinking Production Manager to join our senior leadership team. You will take ownership of all production and associated engineering activities, ensuring delivery of high-quality, on-time products in a technically demanding environment. You will play a key role in shaping systems, processes, and culture to support operational excellence and business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead, plan, and coordinate all production operations in alignment with customer specifications and delivery schedules * Manage and develop the production team, including supervisors and skilled operatives * Ensure effective planning and procurement of materials in coordination with engineering and commercial teams * Oversee production documentation and ensure procedural compliance across all areas * Manage site engineering activities including plant maintenance, press tooling, and infrastructure upkeep * Ensure efficient despatch and logistics, maintaining high levels of customer service * Champion continuous improvement, driving technical and process-based enhancements across the production environment * Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, and commercial departments to support technical delivery and innovation REQUIREMENTS * HNC, HND or Degree qualified in an engineering or manufacturing discipline (essential) * Proven leadership experience in a production or operations role within an engineering or manufacturing environment * Strong organisational and decision-making skills, with a hands-on and solutions-focused mindset * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. MIE Trak) advantageous – training can be provided * Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies * Sound understanding of health, safety, and quality assurance processes BENEFITS & PACKAGE * Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications) * Permanent, full-time role (39 hours/week) * Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 * Friday: 07:30 – 12:30 * 25 days holiday statutory bank holidays * Company pension scheme (People’s Pension – after probation) * Opportunity to contribute to the leadership and future direction of a technically focused engineering business If you are an experienced Production Manager with a strong engineering background and leadership skills, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a progressive and growing business
