Overview
My client is a leading global provider performance software, using cutting edge technology.
They are recruiting an experienced and versatile System Support Engineer to join their Support Desk team. It is a hybrid role with two main areas of responsibility:
Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical support to the customer base, focusing on system-level issues related to the installation and operation of their software.
* Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT support within the company, ensuring the smooth running of the local network, hardware, and virtualised environments.
* Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, networking, firewalls, and virtualization, with a proactive approach to problem-solving for both external customers and internal colleagues.
* Support software products and applications in line with business needs.
Qualifications
* Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, networking, firewalls, and virtualization.
* Experience in supporting software products/applications.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a hybrid environment.
* Certifications in IT-related technologies and infrastructure would be a definite bonus.
Location and Availability
Ideally located within easy commuting distance of Stroud in Gloucestershire, as there will be a need to attend the office at short notice to deal with issues. This is a hybrid role.
Salary and Benefits
An attractive salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 plus benefits are on offer for the right candidate.
