Employed by the London Borough of Camden the Project Coordinator will usually be based at the Edmonton EcoPark working for the North London Waste Authority (NLWA), serving Camden and six other north London boroughs.
About the Role
We have fantastic opportunities for a Project Coordinator to join the North London Heat and Power Project (NLHPP) supporting the Programme Director and wider project delivery. The roles are site based in Edmonton, North London, with some scope for hybrid working.
The post holder will take lead responsibility for ensuring the efficient smooth running of the client site office, managing a busy schedule through effective diary management, and undertaking project tasks such as technical meeting planning and minute taking. You will be managing small to medium projects and will receive full support and training from the wider team.
The role is varied and there is scope to grow. The project is a complex publicly funded Energy Recover Facility (ERF) delivery which is underway with the Main Contractor on site. There is a strong emphasis on risk, project controls and governance. You will proactively engage with members of the team and partner organisations and use knowledge and judgement to help the project achieve its priorities.
The postholder will assist and learn from NLHPP engineers and project managers to review design submissions, technical queries, method statements, commissioning plans, and ensuring compliance with IChemE contract requirements and NLWA technical standards. You will strengthen your capability as a Project Coordinator by using technology to develop design solutions for and participate in the mitigation of complex risk matters. Innovation and strategy development are key, with contributions expected through research and data use.
You will collaborate with and support the wider organisation with administrative and project support and carrying out business management duties such as dealing with change requests, purchase orders, administering reports and more.
