Job Description:
The General Service Technician is a full-time or part-time hourly role responsible for basic vehicle repair and maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role focuses on delivering excellent service through effective communication and maintaining high quality and timely service expectations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Performing basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately.
2. Handling tire services such as removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repairs.
3. Conducting vehicle services like oil changes, lubrications, and basic maintenance.
4. Completing Courtesy Inspections, identifying additional needed services, and communicating findings.
5. Assisting with inventory management and store duties to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
6. Following safety standards, testing vehicles, and operating equipment safely.
7. Adhering to company policies, environmental codes, and safety standards.
8. Maintaining technical knowledge through training and completing required courses.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.
Profile Requirements:
* Ability to identify problems, collect data, and recommend solutions.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.
* Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
* Ownership of basic tools or participation in Monro’s tool purchase program.
