JOB DESCRIPTION

Post: Social Media Executive

Responsible to: Head of Marketing

Rewards package: Grade 3, Access to Government Pension Scheme and 30 Days Annual Leave

Key responsibility: Creating and publishing content for social media, web and traditional platforms that inspires, engages and converts prospects to lifelong B&FC learners.

Principal Duties:

1. To create and distribute compelling content across B&FC’s social platforms
2. Actively engage students, colleagues and other stakeholders to aid content creation
3. Develop and utilise graphic design skills and branding awareness to produce content
and graphics across print and digital platforms.
4. Produce inspiring and engaging videos and images bringing B&FC to life
5. Develop and run social campaigns aligned to student recruitment calendar
6. Carry out content writing and editing for social media that are effective at prompting readers to take action.
7. Schedule content for release at optimal times using dedicated software.
8. Work alongside marketing and curriculum colleagues to make sure that social content
is optimised for best performance.
9. Work with our contact centre ensuring that customer service issues on social platforms are engaged with and responded to in a timely manner.

10. Analyse and report on social media content

11. Carry out general positive engagement with commenters on B&FC’s social channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

12. Monitor and report on direct competitor activity

13. Liaise and keep an up to date record of social contacts across B&FC to create a unified, official tone of voice and social presence.

14. Provide B&FC colleagues with best practice, relevant contacts and information – as well as aiding new B&FC companies on board.

15. Create new sub pages for department/curriculum areas and delivering social media training

16. Assist HR team to ensure access to social platforms is revoked upon their resignation.

17. Remain abreast of changes to all pertinent social media applications.

18. Publish content across TV screens in line with content requests.

15. To actively support, and appropriately engage with the ‘One College’ ethos to promote positive student behaviour across B&FC
16. To be proactive in identifying and pursing opportunities that are appropriate to maintaining your own professional development, and to positively engage in the B&FC performance review scheme and all relevant training
17. To maintain the confidentiality and security of information and data at all times
18. Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post
