We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Ilford, starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide targeted support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning, behavioural, and communication challenges. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with individuals and small groups of pupils to support their learning, emotional development, and engagement in class. You will implement individualised strategies, assist with interventions, and provide pastoral support as needed. Observation, record-keeping, and collaboration with teaching staff will be essential to monitor progress and plan next steps. You will also support the wider school environment by promoting inclusion, positive behaviour, and pupil independence.
