Your Role as an HGV Technician in Reading
As a key HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the Mercedes-Benz fleet. You will be a vital member of the team, carrying out both routine and complex repair work in Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Perform major and minor repairs, general preventive maintenance, and regular inspections on trucks.
 * Work closely with the repair teams to help diagnose faults and plan effective repairs.
 * Maintain accurate records of repaired vehicles using appropriate workshop systems (Keyloop/Kerridge).
 * Carry out essential tasks such as wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
What You Need to Be a Successful Mechanic
We are seeking a proactive HGV Mechanic and dedicated Technician for this specialized HGV Technician position in Reading.
 * You must be Level 3 qualified (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
 * Proven experience carrying out diagnostic and service repairs is essential.
 * Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards.
 * Must hold a current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
