This role is primarily operational and delivery-focused, responsible for the coordination, administration, and practical implementation of athlete health, welfare, and performance support services across pathway environments. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Strength & Conditioning Lead, BE Pathway staff, GB Basketball, and a multidisciplinary network of practitioners, the postholder will ensure that medical, sports science, and physical performance activity is integrated, safe, consistent, and aligned with national and GB requirements.

The role will also support the education and upskilling of a wide range of stakeholders aligned to Basketball England, including coaches, athletes, parents, practitioners, and pathway staff. This will include the delivery and coordination of practical education related to athlete health, welfare, injury prevention, physical development, and safe training practices, delivered in collaboration with the Strength & Conditioning Lead and other performance staff.

The role requires strong clinical credibility, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple operational workstreams while remaining hands-on within performance environments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Monitor and track mandatory training and compliance requirements for all medical, sports science, and strength and conditioning staff, including safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and UKAD.
* Support the practical embedding of equality, diversity and inclusion and safeguarding best practice across all medical and physical performance delivery environments.

2. Medical & Physical Performance Operations – England Talent Pathway
