The Support Worker/Care Assistant will provide high-quality support to children in the community, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
The role involves assisting children with learning disabilities, autism and or mental health needs, with daily activities, promoting social inclusion, and encouraging independence while working closely with families, schools, and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support to children with varying needs, including those with disabilities, mental health conditions, and behavioral challenges.
* Assist with daily activities such as personal care, mobility support, and educational engagement.
* Facilitate and encourage participation in social, recreational, and community-based activities.
* Work in partnership with families, schools, and health professionals to ensure the child's well-being.
* Promote independence and confidence-building through structured support.
* Offer emotional support and guidance to children and their families.
* Safeguard children by following policies and procedures in line with legal and ethical standards.
* Maintain accurate records of support activities and report any concerns regarding health, safety, or well-being.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Understanding of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience working with children in a care or community setting (preferred but not essential).
* Relevant qualification in childcare, social work, or health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3).
* Understanding of child development and best practices in child support.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* A valid driving license may be required depending on the role.
