Paralegal

This role centres on property damage claims, including incidents such as fires, floods, building collapses, water escapes, and subsidence. Based in our Central Bristol office, the position follows a hybrid model, requiring three days of in‑office work each week. You’ll be responsible for updating case management systems and tracking key diary dates.
Responsibilities
* Assist with claim investigations, gather evidence, and obtain witness statements.
* Ensure that technical reports support causation and collect relevant contractual documents.
* Work alongside Partners, Associates, and Team Leaders to contribute to complex litigation while ensuring compliance with client protocols.
* Develop systems that integrate Sedgwick Legal Services (SLS) into Sedgwick’s digital infrastructure.
* Update case management systems and track key diary dates.
Qualifications
* Qualifications: Degree or relevant legal experience preferred.
* Litigation Knowledge: Familiarity with litigation process desirable.
* Contract & Tort: Strong interest and working knowledge of contract and tort law.
* Insurance Law: Willingness to learn insurance-based property damage law.
* Technical Skills: Interest in construction/property claims investigations.
* Team Player: Collaborative, supportive, and knowledge-sharing mindset.
* Commercial Focus: Ability to approach claims with a practical, commercial outlook.
