An incredible opportunity has arisen to make a real difference to pupils at a Primary School in Scunthorpe. We are looking for Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to join this fantastic school and support two pupils in EYFS who are due to start in March. The role offers an ideal chance to utilize your skills and knowledge to support a young learner's development. The pay for this role ranges from £85 to £95 per day. It is scheduled to start in March 2024, with no fixed end date, pending SEND school placements for the pupils. The hours are Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 15:30.
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils with complex needs and disabilities, providing them with the one-to-one support needed to succeed in the classroom. Your responsibilities include assisting the pupils during their school day, promoting independence, and building confidence. You will also collaborate closely with the class teacher and support staff to ensure the pupils have every opportunity to reach their full potential.
Knowledge in the following areas would be advantageous:
* Manage medical needs
* Autism
* Attention Autism
* Sensory needs
* Speech and language
* Interactive partner training
* Use of frameworks such as the Autism Education Trust Early Year Progression Framework
* Social skills intervention, focusing on early friendship skills like turn-taking and cooperation

* Experience working with children with special educational needs, especially those with complex needs
