Join our dynamic team at Mitie Telecoms to develop and implement detailed telecoms planning strategies that support network expansion and optimisation, collaborating internally to achieve company objectives.
Main purpose of the role:
As a Planning Surveyor based at our Manchester offices, you will be part of the Acquisition & Planning team. This technical SME role involves managing activities related to securing planning rights for Mitie projects, including MNO customer projects (upgrades, replacements, new sites) and projects involving Solar PV and EV solutions. The role requires working across multiple client programmes, so teamwork and technical expertise are essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys and planning appraisals for project delivery.
* Prepare and manage planning applications through to completion.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, providing expert planning advice.
* Perform research, feasibility studies, and site surveys for new infrastructure.
* Work with government officials, developers, and community stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
* Analyse network performance data and prepare detailed reports.
* Ensure compliance with standards, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
* Provide technical support to junior team members.
