Position: Senior Occupational Therapist – Social Care (Barry)
About the role
Grade 9, Pay £41,771 - £46,142 per annum. Hours: 37, Working Pattern: to be agreed. Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Barry.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead complex assessments.
* Provide expert advice on adaptations and equipment.
* Support and mentor Occupational Therapists and colleagues.
* Champion strengths‑based practice and innovative solutions.
* Collaborate with health professionals, housing partners, and community services.
* Influence service development and continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Occupational Therapist who is committed to empowering individuals to live independently and safely in their own homes and communities.
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
* Significant post‑qualification experience within social care.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act).
* Confidence managing complex cases and risk assessments.
* A natural leader with excellent communication and mentoring skills.
* Passion for enabling independence and improving outcomes.
* DBS Check required: Enhanced.
