Salary: £62,000 (negotiable) + bonus + benefits

Due to continued growth and significant investment into the Preston site, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead and enhance the HSE / SHE culture. The Role
As the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of all HSE activities on site. You will act as the key driver for fostering a positive, compliant, and proactive safety culture, ensuring that environmental responsibilities and safety standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and continuously improve the site’s health, safety, and environmental systems and culture.
* Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation, environmental regulations, and company policies.
* Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
* Develop and deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
* Work closely with site leadership, operational teams, and external bodies to maintain best practice.
* Support ongoing investment projects by advising on safety and environmental requirements.
* Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You
* Proven experience in an EHS, HSE, SHE, or similar managerial role within a FMCG or Food manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
* A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to embed and elevate safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
