We are a small, independent bakery with a loyal customer base, known for our quality and fresh products. We're looking for an experienced, reliable, and self-motivated Baker to join our team and take pride in crafting our range of breads, rolls, and sweet morning goods.
About the Role:
As a small business, we only have one Bread Baker per shift working through the night to produce the bread needed for our bakery.
We have a full time Bread Baker who works 5 nights per week. We are looking for someone to join our team to work 1 night per week to cover their day off, also to cover while our main baker is on holiday, and for any absences, and hep our during busy/seasonal periods.
You will be responsible for independently producing all baked goods fresh each day from scratch, including:
* A full range of breads and rolls
* Morning goods such as Belgian buns, Danish pastries, Swiss fingers, and more
You'll be working alone for most of your shift, so confidence in managing your own time and workload is essential, as well as being able to problem solve and use your own initiative.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a bread baking role (commercial or similar environment)
* Ability to produce a full production of bread, rolls and morning goods every day.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently
* Reliability and time management skills
* Passion for quality baking and consistency
* Working 1 night per week, overnight/early morning hours (shift times can be discussed but ideally 10pm - 6am on Sunday nights). Optional extra shift available on Wednesdays to prep stock, 6.30am - 2.30pm.
Schedule:
* 8 hours per week over 1 night
* Optional extra day time shift on Wednesdays (6.30am - 2.30pm prepping stock)
* Flexibility to cover annual leave, absences and help out during busy/seasonal periods.
* Ideally 10pm to 6am shift, but we're open to discussion on start/finish times, but it will be a night shift.
