An outstanding primary school in Cheltenham is seeking to appoint a motivated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from September 2025. The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality, engaging curriculum to a Year 2 class, ensuring pupils achieve their full potential both academically and personally. You will contribute actively to the school’s vision of fostering confident, curious learners.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver inspiring and well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 2.

Assess, track and support pupils’ progress and development.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes excellent behaviour and engagement.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity across Key Stage 1.

Engage effectively with parents and carers to support pupil learning and well-being.

The Ideal Candidate
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.
*
Proven experience teaching Year 2 or KS1 pupils.

Strong understanding of phonics programmes and early literacy and numeracy development.

Excellent classroom management skills and ability to differentiate learning.
