Job Summary
Richard Saltoun Gallery is looking for an energetic and driven Gallery and Communications Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will seamlessly assist in gallery operations, eloquently communicate our artist and exhibition programme (written and verbal), and enjoy a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
Job Description
The role will primarily involve being the first point of contact in the gallery, greeting visitors and ensuring all requests are managed efficiently. The individual will also be responsible for drafting our regular internal and external gallery communications and assisting with event management.
Key responsibilities
* Create a harmonious and ordered gallery environment for all visitors and staff
* Assist with requests from our London, Rome and New York galleries
* Communications copywriter for website, press releases and newsletters
* Support in the creation and design of sales documents and exhibition materials
* Deliver exceptional gallery events with the help of the wider team
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in the arts or related field
* Fantastic interpersonal skills and able to eloquently speak in front of an audience
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with attention to detail
* Ability to work accurately and timely under pressure
* Proficient in Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Adobe InDesign
Hours of work
Tuesday to Friday, 10:00am-6:00pm; Saturday 11:00am-5:00pm
Occasional evening work required for exhibition openings and public programming
