Role responsibilities and key skills for the role: Act as the SAP for 6.6KV systems under company and DNO/IDNO authorisation. Carry out switching operations, issue safety documents (PTW, SFT, LOA), and ensure all HV works are executed safely. Supervise and coordinate HV commissioning activities, including protection testing, cable terminations, and system energisation. Liaise with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to ensure HV milestones are achieved. Ensure all work is carried out in line with statutory regulations, industry standards, and internal HSEQ policies. Maintain up-to-date HV records, test results, and safety documentation. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and site operatives. Lead fault-finding and diagnostics where required Current and valid SAP authorisation up to 11kV (from a DNO, IDNO, or reputable private network). Demonstrable experience managing high-voltage works on large-scale infrastructure or Battery Storage facilitieIn-depth understanding of electrical safety rules, switching schedules, and permit systems. Competent in HV protection schemes, cable systems, and commissioning protocols. Ideally have worked for the EPC Contractor within the Power Industry Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
