SEND Casework Manager
to join our dedicated team in York. This is a specialist and impactful role where your decisions will directly influence the lived experience of children, young people, and their families.
About The Role
In this role, you will:
* Manage and oversee complex SEND casework
* Support families through challenging processes, helping them access the support they need
* Work directly with schools, families, and professionals across education, health, and care
* Ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with the SEND Code of Practice
* Help drive improvements in practice, outcomes, and service delivery
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has in-depth knowledge of the SEND legal framework and statutory experience in case management within a local authority or similar context
* Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills
* Is flexible, creative and resilient
* Can lead confidently in a fast-paced environment
* Is passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
