Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship Overview: As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in early childhood education. This is a paid position that offers valuable training and mentorship in a nurturing environment. Duties: - Assist experienced educators in implementing curriculum and activities for children - Provide support in managing classroom dynamics and maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment - Engage with children individually or in small groups to facilitate their learning and development - Assist with daily tasks such as mealtime, naptime, and hygiene routines - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork - Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities Requirements: - Passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in early childhood education - Strong drive to learn and grow as an educator - Proficient in English, both written and verbal - Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks - Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults - Previous experience working with children, such as in a nursery or childcare setting, is preferred - Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work well within a team Desired skills: Organised Good communication skills Good time management Personal qualities: Commitment to continued professional development Motivation Kindness Approachable Reliability Confidence Enthusiasm Desired qualifications: Be a qualified Level 2 NVQ Childcare Practitioner Have GCSEs grades C/4 or above in English and maths or equivalent qualifications Training to be provided: Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification with support and guidance from an assessor Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) Functional Skills (if required) in maths and English Please note that this is a paid apprenticeship position.
