Academics is recruiting a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a specialist SEMH school in Crawley. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead small group sessions and deliver targeted learning support
* Assist with planning and delivering lessons
* Support students' emotional well-being, behaviour, and engagement
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or strong TA experience with progression
* Experience supporting students with SEMH or SEN
* Confident leading groups and adapting support to student needs
* Patient, resilient, and proactive mindset
* Full UK driving licence
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
