Venatu Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Plater to join a well-established and growing business within the fabrication and engineering industry.

The Role:
* Working from engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble bespoke steel structures.
* Cutting, marking out and shaping materials ready for welding and assembly.
* Working with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and heavy plate.
* Operating fabrication machinery including guillotines, presses and flame cutters.
* Quality checking own work to ensure high standards are maintained.
* Working both independently and as part of a team within a busy workshop environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a Plater within a fabrication, heavy engineering or structural steel environment.
* Strong ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
* Good understanding of fabrication techniques and processes.
* Experience working with heavy gauge steel.
* Safety conscious with a good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures.
